Weed REIT Grows $141 Million Fund

GreenAcreage Real Estate will provide capital to fire up sale-leaseback and build-to-suit transactions in the regulated cannabis industry, according to a blog post today by Erika Morphy on GlobeSt.com.

This REIT has formed a relationship with Acreage Holdings, one of the largest growers across 20 states with 88 dispensary licenses and 1.2 million square feet of cultivation and manufacturing space in the US.

"Being in this business, there is no greater privilege than enriching the lives of others," Acreage Holdings CEO Kevin Murphy said at a conference earlier this month. His company has been especially focussed on the benefits of medical marijuana.
